Cruise the clear waters of the Great Sandy Strait near Hervey Bay for a marine eco tour discovering turtles, dolphins, sea birds and even dugongs! This leisurely day cruise travels in one of Australia’s largest glass bottom boats so you are guaranteed the best views of marine life and the coral gardens underwater and around the vessel. Snorkelling equipment is provided so feel free to jump in the water to swim and snorkel amongst the marine life. See local landmarks such as Round Island and Pelican banks while listening to informative commentary about the local Aboriginal Butchulla people. A healthy lunch, bottled water and tea and coffee is included in the marine eco tour. Cruises depart daily at 10.30am from Urangan and return at 3pm.

Absolutely loved the day and experience! The boat was great, skipper was lovely and Jackie was so friendly and accommodating!!
With the weather being windy we were unable to go swimming or snorkelling but it didn’t matter my children loved exploring the sandy beaches and picking up sea shells and spotting carbs in the rock pools. The whole experience was awesome and we would do it again!

Although the weather did not allow us to use the glass bottom boat for viewing
Although the weather did not allow us to use the glass bottom boat for viewing, we were still able to spot a pod of dolphins and some turtles over the side rails. The tour guide was fantastic at delivering information about the local people and the history of his land. Great interaction with the small group on board, including my kids. Excellent service provided.
