Powered by twin V8 engines, these Queenstown jet boats can reach speeds of up to 95kmph, providing an exhilarating ride complete with 360-degree spins and tight turns. If you choose the 60-minute ride, the excitement is extended to cover a distance of 44-kilometres up the Kawarau River, allowing for more time to soak in the panoramic views and perhaps even catch a glimpse of local wildlife. Itinerary
  • Make your way down to the Kiosk on the Queenstown waterfront. Look for the RealNZ flags and black jet boats
  • Check in 15 minutes before your experience so we can get you geared up and ready to go
  • Place your belongings in a secure locker (don’t forget your camera and sunglasses)
  • Real NZ staff will supply life vests as you wait for your driver
  • Hop onto the jet boat where you will get a full safety briefing
  • Hold on as you exit Queenstown Bay at speed
  • Jet across Lake Wakatipu fitting in plenty of those famous 360-degree spins
  • Speed down a section of the Kawarau River, under The Remarkables mountain range before spinning back round, Queenstown bound
  • 25 or 60 minute thrilling minutes later we will have you back to Queenstown Bay

What To Bring
  • Please bring sensible clothing and footwear
  • You are more than welcome to wear your sunglasses, hats and other accessories should they be securely fastened to your body – if they fly off, we can’t pick them up
  • Don’t forget to bring your camera, Go Pro’s and video devices. Selfie sticks are also welcome
  • Summer - Warm Clothes, Rain Jacket, Sunglasses, Sunscreen & Camera (at own risk)
  • Winter - Warm Clothes, Rain Jacket/Windproof Layer, Woolly Hat, Gloves, Sunglasses, and Camera (at own risk)
Additional Information
  • Child rates apply (5-15yrs)
  • Minimum age is 2 years old (children under 5 travel for free)
  • Wear a warm jacket or fleece, casual footwear, sunglasses and sunscreen
  • In winter months the 25 minute jet boat is more suitable for those travelling with kids to avoid them getting too cold
  • You cannot participate if you are pregnant or have neck/back injuries

  • Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience​
  • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
